Our Wedding

We first met shortly after Robyn moved back from California and had just started graduate school at the University of Delaware. It was St. Patrick’s Day, and Robyn was out with her ultimate frisbee friends on a bar crawl that ended at Deer Park, where Jefe was playing. Brad, home from WVU for spring break, happened to be out with friends (including his best man, John Ray, and groomsmen, John Mouser) in the same spot. By chance, they were dancing in the same area when Brad’s friend TJ “bumped” him into her during Taylor Swift’s Love Story. They started dancing together and exchanged numbers by the end of the night. Robyn even texted her bridesmaid, Clare, that night, “I’m telling you now- if all timing works out, Brad is the man I’m going to marry.”

How Our Love Story Began

The first year and a half of our relationship was long-distance—Brad was in Salisbury, MD, and Robyn was in Newark, DE. There wasn’t much to do on the farm in MD, so we discovered our mutual love for hibachi, Mexican food, steak, and ice cream. When we were in Newark, we hung out with friends and definitely did more than our fair share of karaoke. Robyn also made her first trip to a WVU football game where she met two of Brads college roommates - Josh (groomsmen) and Mac for the first time. We also traveled together to Galveston, Texas (home to the best Mexican restaurant in the world!) and discovered our shared love for adventure. When Brad moved back to Delaware for his new job, life got even better—we were finally living close and exploring new adventures and hobbies (which included a lot of fishing). Along the way, we learned we both love to deck ourselves out for festivals and events - whether it’s St. Patrick’s Day in New Orleans, game days, or the rodeo!

Our First Adventures Together

Year three was full of adventures and surprises. Brad started to enjoy skiing and golfing! We also made two trips to New Mexico to visit his groomsman Cole, and while we were there, Robyn camped for the first time and let’s just say she must really love Brad after that experience. Our adventures didn’t stop there. We went to Charleston, returned to Galveston (and yes, we visited our favorite Mexican restaurant again), went ghost touring, and spent a week camping in Alaska visiting Robyn’s bridesmaid Victoria, hiking, fishing, camping and learning to slow down and enjoy the outdoors. By the end of the year, we realized something important: as long as we’re together, anything—hiking, skiing and yes even camping—can be fun.

As Long as We’re Together

After what Brad felt like was an eternity - but was really only a few months of Robyn playfully asking when he was going to propose- he decided it was time. He reached out to our Maids of Honor, Rosie and Christina, to let them in on the plan. While we were visiting Charleston, Brad went fishing with Robyn's dad and made the classic mistake of asking if he could propose instead of marry her. Robyns dad just chuckled and said, “I hope she says yes, mate,” and they shared a laugh. After that, Brad connected with a friend in the jewelry business to design the perfect ring, which matches a necklace that Brad bought Robyn before moving to Salisbury. On September 13, 2025, we were at the beach, and Rosie was in charge of keeping Robyn occupied. They went out for gluten-free pancakes while Brad got everything ready. He was so carefully orchestrating the moment that he was told to change his outfit over three times and was almost late! When Robyn arrived at the lighthouse garden, Brad was waiting for her with a big smile. Peeking from a secret spot was Robyn's friend Zane, and she immediately knew what was about to happen. Brad got down on one knee, and Robyn, too happy to speak, nodded “yes” and started crying. It was the perfect moment - fun, emotional, and completely us.

We’ve reserved a hotel block at the Fairfield Inn &amp; Suites by Marriott Philadelphia Broomall/Newtown Square for the wedding weekend at $189 per night (taxes and fees not included), available for 1 or 2 nights. The hotel is also about 14 miles from Philadelphia International Airport and roughly 10 miles from 30th Street Station, so it’s easy to grab an Uber or Lyft straight there. The bride and groom will be staying here too, and we’d love for you to join us!

For guests flying in, we recommend Philadelphia International Airport — all the wedding festivities are just about 15 miles from there, making it an easy drive or Uber to the hotel and events.

If you’re coming by train, we recommend arriving at Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station and taking an Uber or Lyft directly to the hotel or wedding events — it’s the easiest and most convenient way to get there. While public transportation is available from the train station to the Havertown area, you would still need an Uber for the final leg from the SEPTA stop to the hotel.
